8für die erste Volksversammlung, den Priester und die
9Opfervorsteher einführen vor das Volk und verhandeln lassen über das,
10was sie vortragen, und die Beschlussvorlage des Rates in die Volksversammlung einbringen,
11wonach der Rat beschließt, dass das Volk die guten (Zeichen) billige,
12die, wie der Priester und die Opfervorsteher berichten, geschehen sind
13bei den Opfern, die sie opferten Dionysos und den anderen Götter
14zu Wohl und Rettung des Rates und des Volkes
15der Athener und der Kinder und Frauen und der anderen Besitzgüter
16der Athener; dass man belobige den Priester des Dionysos,
17Meixigenes aus dem Demos Cholleidai, und den des Poseidon Pelagios,
18Himeraios aus dem Demos Phaleron, und den des Zeus Soter, Nikokles
19aus dem Demos Hagnous, und den des Ammon, Pausiades aus dem Demos Phaleron,
20wegen ihres Ehrgeizes gegenüber dem Rat und ihrer frommen Gesinnung
21gegenüber den Göttern, und bekränze einen jeden von ihnen mit goldenem
22Kranz von 500 Drachmen (Wert), sobald sie Rechenschaft abgelegt haben; und da

4by the Council [reported] about the sacrifices that they made to Dionysos and
5to the other gods to whom it was fitting to sacrifice on behalf of the Athenian Council and
6People, for good fortune, the Council shall resolve:
7that the presiding committee allotted to preside in the People
8at the next Assembly shall introduce the priest and
9the religious officials to the People, and put their report on the
10agenda, and submit the opinion of the Council to the People,
11that it seems good to the Council, that the People should accept the good things,
12which the priest and the religious officials report as having occurred
13in the sacrifices which they made to Dionysos and to the other gods,
14for the health and preservation of the Athenian Council and People
15and of the children and women and other possessions
16of the Athenians; and to praise the priest of Dionysos,
17Meixigenes of Cholleidai, and of Poseidon Pelagios,
18Himeraios of Phaleron, and of Zeus Soter, Nikokles
19of Hagnous, and of Ammon, Pausiades of Phaleron,
20for their love of honour towards the Council and their piety
21towards the gods, and crown each of them with a gold
22crown of 500 drachmas when they have rendered their accounts;
23and since the religious officials chosen by the Council
24managed well and with love of honour the supply of requirements for the rites
